The turning point came in 1998 with the release of his first photographic book, "Viaggio nella Campagna Toscana", the result of years of careful and inspired work. From there, he began collaborations with renowned national and international magazines such as Condé Nast, Rusconi, Mondadori, and more. His photographs began traveling the world, appearing in books, catalogues, and editorials.
In 2000, together with his wife Renata, he founded La Bottega del Sale, a photographic atelier in Piazza del Duomo, San Gimignano, where the art of fine art printing comes to life—on cotton paper, using both traditional and digital methods.
Over the years, Duccio’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including shows such as “Luce”, “Infinito Presente”, “Punti di Vista”, “Tempo Lento”, and “Visionaria”. His art installations have been displayed in some of Tuscany’s most iconic towns, including San Gimignano, Siena, and the Rocca di Staggia, where one of his installations is permanently on view, becoming part of the very identity of the site.
By Duccio’s side since day one is his wife Renata—the beating heart of La Bottega del Sale. She has always believed deeply in Duccio’s vision and in the potential of their shared project. With dedication and warmth, she helped build what is today a globally recognized space of authenticity, beauty, and welcome.
